Fine, rectangular and reversible, stainless steel wristwatch with a steel Jaeger-LeCoultre buckle. Accompanied by the original fitted box, certificate and manual.

Case: Five-body, polished and brushed, reeded bezel, sapphire crystal. 

Dial: Black with luminous baton indexes, outer minute track. Luminous steel epée hands.

Movement: Caliber 822, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 21 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring.

Condition: Watch is in like new condition with no visible scratches on case. Dial is in perfect condition. Timing is within specs.

Diameter: 46.5 x 27 mm, thickness: 7 mm.

The iconic Jaeger-LeCoultre was introduced in the 1930s as a convenient watch for polo players who wanted to protect the fragile crystal of their watches while playing.  With a simple and fluid motion, the dial is cleverly concealed by its stainless steel case.

Over the years, the Reverso would become one of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s most recognizable watches. Variations of the Reverso were released to include a variety of complications including center seconds, a tourbillon, minute repeater, chronograph, time zones, and a perpetual calendar.

To celebrate the 80th birthday of the Reverso, the present example, released in 2011 is a return to the Art Deco aesthetic of the original, 1931 model.
